New Suture Anchor
FlexiTwist is a new stainless steel suture anchor. This new design screws into the bone allowing the surgeon to place the suture material either above or below the bone surface. This anchor has a cortical bone screw thread with a unique eyelet head design. This design allows for easier insertion and more flexibility in suture anchor placement. Doctors using this product are pleased with its easy insertion, the low implant cost, and minimal instrumentation that is needed.
Currently pull out, strength studies and clinical studies are being conducted with results to be published in 2004.
